Our main goal is to promote sustainable tourism in Jordan. We contribute by arranging tailor-made tours that are authentic and provide real experiences, in an environmentally friendly way.

Waste: We try to minimise the amount of waste on each tour. For example, on all of our Jordan trips, we have a plastic policy; we provide refillable water bottles. Any other waste is collected and recycled if possible. We believe in leaving the environment in the same conditions as we found it, so all little is taken with us on our hikes, and other activities.

Wildlife: Though the wildlife isn’t that vast in Jordan compared to other countries, the welfare of the wildlife is a top priority for us. When hiking in nature reserve, you will undergo a short briefing from your guide beforehand, in which they will inform you about the environment, the wildlife you might see and how to behave when around it. E.g. giving it plenty of space.

Additionally, we like to ensure that any wildlife we utilize on the tour, such as the camels in the Wadi Rum desert, are well cared for, and we encourage our clients to abide by this policy.

People

We think it is important that our clients gain real experiences when on our tours, making meaningful connections with local people and their culture, rather than experiences created for tourism entertainment. That is why we visit local families for traditional Jordanian dishes throughout our tours.

Friends and Neighbours: All of our trips include services provided by local people, such as food and inns where tourists can have one to one experiences with the locals as well as spreading the tourism income to local people.

Additionally, we like to use local guides, who have a better knowledge of the area, and it means that the tourism revenue from tours is spread around and can help to support the local community.

Education: We arrange local school trips to different sites in Jordan where the kids learn the importance of being eco-friendly and caring for their country. This sometimes involves a litter picking exercise.
