As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetIf you require half board during your stay in a Trullo, we will provide just organic food growing in our own garden and bought from the local farms.

During the trip the school will pay particular attention to the recycling of all the materials consumed and the respect of each environment visited.
Puglia has serious water problems, so we use in our accommodations and we will show during the journey the ingenious and ancient methods for water conservation of our ancestors.
We invite you while staying with us to conserve water and energy in your accommodation during your stay, by following simple rules like:
1. Check your house for leaks
2. Turn off the faucet when you brush your teeth.
You can use water to wet your brush and rinse your mouth and the sink, but there's no reason to keep the water on while you're not using it.
3. Try to take a shorter shower
5. Never use the toilet as a trash can
Water is one of the most important resources on the planet, and we should think before we waste it unnecessarily. Try these tips to help become more Earth-friendly and save our and your water.
PeopleThe Trulli where you will stay is run by my family, who have spent years lovingly restoring it. During our tours you will be guided in all activities by Andrea your lovely and attentive group leader who will guide you to explore the area and to meet the local people who help us to make your vacation beautiful and unique.
We will follow local guides on the tour visit of Matera and in every activity, you will learn italian with an Italian teacher of the area. We will only go to traditional and good local restaurants in all villages, we will visit local handcraft like "trullo master" who made mini-trulli houses, or ceramists working the traditional ceramics. We will always encourage our guests to use the italian language, every situation is good to practice!
Many of our tours we offer are in collaboration with social projects that benefit the local community. We collaborate with the association “Gran Teatro del Click” which is a local association who work with local guided experts in plants, nature and secret path in the territory and also they use natural and eco products in everything they make: like t-shirt, towels, food ect.
The same association has a project regenerating an abandoned station in a natural oasis “Dune Costiere". Some years ago they created many activities for tourists such as walks, bird watching, bike rides etc.
Another association is “Cooperativa Serapia". They're doing lots of activities with kids and adults about the rediscovery of the old italian food and they make trekking tours in our wonderful region.
