On this program we strive to preserve and protect delicate routes and natural habitats in order to not enhance mass-tourism in remote areas and minimise the effects of our presence in such areas. We therefore choose routes for the program that are specific for Tourism and walking and avoid exploring remote areas to protect and conserve remote areas.We inform client about lack of water on Cape Verde and water use prior to starting the program to minimize overuse of water. This is also seen written on the programs and therefor ask travelers to minimize the use of water. Reducing water usage helps keep water use sustainable which is much needed on small Islands. In general at the family guesthouses wastewater leftover water from the kitchen, cleaning, laundry is reused for use in the garden for crops etc.
Our choice goes to Small guesthouses or Ecolodges which need less space and less cutting of trees to make space for big hotels example. Also smallguesthouses are more open to proper care of waste

* A extra percentage of this trip will also support a ´Trip for a Trip´ by Responsible Travel, through our educational program we are able to further support this inciative locally to be able to provide a trip to a young family while also gaining a educational day trip experience.
Clients stay at guesthouses en route, staying at small guesthouses benefits the community welfare by protecting natural space and resources. Small guesthouses need less space and less cutting of trees to make space for big hotels example. Also small guesthouses are more open to proper care of waste.
On this programme there will be also an engangement dialogue and interaction session with local female farmers on the subject of women empowerment.
We strongly believe in the human rights protection of local people, in specific the protection of young females being exposed. We give a voice to this through the women´s empowerment program. To be able to do our programs of empowerment part of the money earned from the trip goes to such a program so these programs are given at our cost for free.
We also only choose small guesthouses to empower small businesses. To furthermore support local farmers we also pass en routes where we are contribute to small local owned restaurants.
