Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

In a world where pollution is extensive and carbon emissions are sky rocketing, we should all feeling the need to cut down on our carbon footprints and find ways to travel more responsibly. Eco-safaris are safari tours which aim to minimize your carbon footprint while on safari in Africa. From setting you up in environmentally conscious safari lodges and hotels to including wildlife conservation and community upliftment activities to your itinerary, we do our utmost best to make sure that your trip will make a positive impact on Africa.

Each safari crafted is centerd around responsible tourism practices which supports wildlife conservation and community upliftment. $50 per person per trip is donated to either Black Mamba or Greenpop and then $8 per person is donated per trip to plant a tree with Greenpop, to ensure that everyone who travels on this tour leaves a positive impact on Africa. Based in South Africa, the organization is actively involved in researching, breeding and anti-poaching initiatives as well as passing on their knowledge on conservation to the general public. Ensuring that our clients travel with a purpose is of utmost importance.. Our tailor-made eco-safaris focus on supporting responsible tourism practices that connect our clients to Africa without putting strain on the natural resources or wildlife of the country. Our eco-safari itineraries promote lodges who actively partake in wildlife conservation through the establishment of their own conservation training programmes or anti-poaching units.
We have a grading system for the properties from one to three based on the responsible tourism policy. One being the lowest to three being the properties that are highly sustainable.

Sustainable practices are central to our company’s success and part of the company culture.

We run a paperless office with an in-house recycling system.

Never throw any papers or packets out of your safari game drive vehicle or on the ground around your camp, an animal may try to eat it as food.
When packing your bags for your journey, try to leave all extra boxes and packaging behind so as to avoid more waste when you arrive at your destination.

Where ever possible try to reduce the amount of water and electricity you are using by turning off the lights in your room or tent when you leave and by not requesting a new towel every day.

Our team also makes a conscious effort to set you up in our preferred eco-friendly lodges and hotels that are not only family-friendly, but also encourage their guests to partake in wildlife conservation programmes, sustainable development, community involvement and philanthropic efforts. We support safari lodges and hotels that empower local communities through job creation and training programmes, philanthropic efforts and connect our guests with Africa’ diverse cultures.

Our Company has 3 recycle bins for paper, plastic, and glass.

All our guides are citizens of the country you are traveling to and our preferred lodges employ and uplift members of the local community. We hire local staff and train our employees locally. We support properties that are community owned or train and employ staff from local communities. These lodges offer skills transfers, providing an invaluable skill set to local communities throughout Africa.
