Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

The venue for this Wild Wellness Weekend has been chosen specifically for its environmental credentials and sustainable approach to running a rural business. The site was recently awarded a Green Tourism Gold award and they are always actively looking for new ways to make the business as sustainable as possible. When the glamping site was built in 2014, the materials used to construct the tents were sourced and then built in the UK. All the interior structures were built using reclaimed materials. The glamping site is situated in a 3 acre semi-ancient woodland. It is cared for following a coppicing management plan, which has resulted in regeneration of the woodland and every year they replant at least one hedgerow on the farm, providing a vital habitat for birds, insects and other animals.
We use a local caterer, who sources all the food from local providers. Not only does this reduce the food miles, but it supports the local community too.
The whole ethos of this venue is to get back to nature, having as little impact on the environment as possible and leading a more wholesome life. It's the perfect place for a wild wellness retreat, getting you back to nature and showing how you can incorporate some of this thinking into your daily life.
People
One of our aims is to bring more visitors to this beautiful region, supporting those businesses whose livelihood depends on tourism. Ultimately we are working towards making more trips available during the quieter times of year, helping local business owners to sustain their business year round and provide reliable employment for local residents.By joining this wellness retreat, you will be helping us to improve recognition of this area and encourage more like-minded travelers to explore it too.
In addition to the venue, we also work with a number of other independent businesses to provide this retreat. We use a locally-based self-employed storyteller, bringing life to the myths and legends of Wales and sharing our heritage with visitors. Your SUP session is provided by a local team who are passionate about all things SUP. And the foraging experience is provided by the a local guide. Together we create a small network of micro businesses, supporting each other and supporting our wider community.
