Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

Reducing our carbon emissions through using smaller 15-25 seat minibuses is just one aspect. For the longest part of this journey we use a public high-speed train to travel back to Seoul, and for the city tour on day 2, this is done on foot. As we're using facilities which are already running, we aren't increasing the carbon emission levels for this part of the journey.
As a travel company we are continually looking for ways to improve and are proud to be ‘Responsible in everything we do’. Education is key, and so all staff, Tour Leaders and partnering suppliers are trained in responsible and sustainable tourism. At our Head Office, we continually strive towards a sustainable and planet-friendly working environment, including having solar panels installed and a company commitment to reducing our plastic usage.
The Impacts of this Trip
Visiting small, independent and locally-owned restaurants is an integral part of our itinerary, this means money goes directly into the local economy and community. In addition, this provides an authentic Korean meal experiences and even the opportunity to try making certain dishes yourself. Many of our guests comment that the food was one of the highlights of their trip.
One of the reasons we prefer to use local tour leaders is so they can give a real insight into the culture and history of their home country by sharing their own stories and experiences. In addition we are financially supporting them and other members of staff such as drivers and hotel owners, through employment.
As a company we have valuable and longstanding partnerships with UK charities Toilet Twinning and Send a Cow, plus many smaller initiatives and projects around the world. We’re members of the UK travel industry body AITO because we believe it’s important to share our knowledge and experience, as well as learn from other operators.
