Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

In the tranquil forests of Kerala, some resorts offer a fantastic experience of eco-adventure combined with a relaxing stay in the lap of nature. We have Chosen the hotel that has essential measures to control carbon emissions in place; that creates less or zero waste; that has reuse and recycle processes in place. We always suggest do not litter; instead, carry your garbage home. Cut noise pollution, do not take home flora and fauna from the place. Don’t create noise pollution. To protect the environment, establishments we asked to use only eco-friendly carry bags, the bird sanctuary at Kumarakom was declared as a plastic-free zone and a massive mangrove regeneration campaign was organized. To give an image of clean tourism local people were given a tourist management awareness class about the adverse impacts of child labor, exploitation, etc. We have taken efforts in fighting against the illegal sand mining from rivers, conservation of local varieties of Mangroves, reducing the threats to ocean wildlife like Olive Ridley Turtles, and educating the local villagers on conserving resources of our planet for a sustainable future.

People

make sure you create better opportunities for the local population by choosing a tour operator of local origin, eating at local restaurants, rather than international chains, and staying in a hotel that employs locals. We aim at offering a better livelihood for the local communities, We help them to prepare souvenir units, art, and set up cultural groups to protect the interest of traditional artisans, and encouraged eco-friendly tourism products. To provide jobs at the local level, we higher local tour guides, and the accommodation which we are using is run by the local operators so that we can help them in earning their lively hood. 100 farmers were motivated to take up vegetable cultivation to enhance vegetable supplies to local hotels. Twenty ponds in the village were cleaned to promote fish cultivation in and six lotus cultivation was carried out by the local community. To boost up local craftsmen, souvenirs made by them were bought by the hotel industry for their guests.
