Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

We are on the way to save our environment and the planet. We are learning and have a zeal for how to make it better without damaging or decline the pollution. What we have or on the way we are always looking to make a trip possible with less or no environmental loss. We are a local tour operator in Nepal. We are doing our job not only to regulate the picked itinerary of a trip but at the same time, we are using our effort to save our environment. Whether it might be on a large scale of numbers in a group or run a private trip. We do care about the environment.

Here are some steps that we have already achieved to protect the environment and don’t forget during your trip, you can also suggest to us what you see, share your ideas to save the environment. As being a local tour operator and being a responsible tourism activist, we are working on online or electronic media for marketing. Using less paper promotion and focusing on online media to promote vacations to reach global friends. Upgrading our work on an online database like to put the record of the trips and other official administrative parts.

During your arrival, you can show us an e-voucher for confirmation. Writing an email to do corresponding rather than in paperwork. Reducing daily uses of stuff that harms the environment in our daily life and official work.

Regarding the animal's rights, we don’t promote hunting animals’ trips or elephant riding tours.

For waste management, during our trip, we suggest to our guests to use the trekking equipment which can be reused and recycled. In this camping trek, our cook will prepare the food for the whole crew and the for our guests. Our team will dispose of waste materials in a proper place. Use of gas stove instead of firewood.

In our Lower Dolpo Trek, we will pass through the rivers, small streams, remote villages, national parks, and ponds. In the remote areas of Nepal, most of the villagers use the open water resources for their daily life uses, so we suggest not to wash your clothes in these water springs or in an open water resource. You can talk with your team leader while on your trip. He will let you know about it.

On your trip, you can use solar chargers or power banks for backup energy to charge electronic gadgets such as cameras, mobiles, and torchlight. Please carry extra batteries for your cameras and torchlights.

The Dolpo trek will be totally new for you than famous trekking trails like Everest and Annapurna region. It lies in the trans-Himalaya where you can see the barren areas, Tibetan plateaus, and the same on the way to Shey-Phoksundo Lake and National Park. Shey Phoksundo National Park is the largest national park in Nepal. It was established in 1984 and covers an area of 3,555km2 in the district of Dolpa. It was established to preserve the unique Trans-Himalayan ecosystem with diverse flora and fauna. On this trip, we are going to pay an entrance fee for the national park. These fees go for the conservation of the park. During your trekking in the national park, you are not allowed to pick the plants, hit the animals, and leave the trash in the trails. On the trip, our team will manage or dispose of the waste in a good manner.

Most of the houses are made with rocks and mud, they are eco-friendly. Traditional houses that might be very rare in the world. Still today, you can see the isolated valleys and the remote villages of Nepal. In some of the parts of trekking routes, you can see the vegetation and the barren plateaus like deserts. Where there is a settlement, you can find the green fields.

We fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and off to Jhuphal. We have included these internal flights due to the remoteness of the Dolpo region and we believe visiting this area is incredibly beneficial to the local communities. We will start our trekking from here and stay overnight in a tent. Our trekking equipment and the tents are carried by the mules. There is a mule caretaker that leads them and looks after them.

This trail is a hidden trail which is also known as "Beyul". Our company promotes the remote areas of Nepal which are still unknown and totally different than another world. Explore this trip with your local tour operator.

People

We are a local tour operator, which means you are directly supporting the local people. We employ local guides, porters, drivers, and other relevant organizations or local bodies.

We focus on remote and off-the-beaten track trails to promote for travelers who are looking for totally different aspects of life, culture, and mountains while in Nepal. We are promoting such trekking destinations as Dolpo and other regions of Nepal where many have yet to discover. Dolpo has unique experiences that offer diverse attractions.

By going on our Dolpo trip you will be supporting the local people. During the trek, we will spend time in local neighbourhoods where will stay overnight and explore in the day time. On this trip we have a crew made up of local people and use local products. Supporting the local communities is far from making a single trip to such a destination. Your visit can be a blessing for the local people. This trip can give them a way of life not only to the local people but for yourself too. Share your experiences with the local villagers, talk with them, learn the culture, and many more. This trip might be a new horizon in your life. This trip is totally community oriented. We will exposure you to traditional Tibetan Buddhist practices, their daily life, and the mountains.

Our company also helps the needy children of Nepal by donating certain funds annually. What we earn, we learn to share. We have a small team working on behalf of children in Nepal by providing child sponsorship.

On your trip, you can buy local products like yak cheese, handmade clothes, and other gifts items. In addition, we promote Dolpo destination via our online media, official websites, and other social media networks. This helps to increase travelers to this remote destination. This is also a good step in what we can do for our local communities. In increasing numbers of tourists, helps local people to support their income through the tourist industry.
