Verona cycling & wine tasting vacation in Italy
Description of Verona cycling & wine tasting vacation in Italy
This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
Our partners behind this vacation promote inclusivity on all their trips and across their business and we are all committed to ensuring travelers face no discrimination on any part of the trip they control.
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetThis cycling trip is environmentally friendly as the bikes do not create pollution: you are your own energy. You will not even create noise pollution: together with walking, it is a real silent way to travel. We say, you enter the landscape on tiptoe.
This is a center based tour, so you don't need luggage transport: one less car around!
Verona can be easily reached from everywhere in Italy by train, we really suggest to come here by public transport!
The itineraries cross landscapes that have been modeled for centuries by the man. The area don't have big wildlife sanctuaries but it is interesting to see how the man interacted with nature for centuries, by building terraces and cultivating fields with a sustainable agricolture.
The wine you will taste during this vacation comes from organic farming! We always prefer to visit organic wineries, preferably family-run.
We also do not support disposable plastic bottles. If you need, we can borrow a reusable bike water bottle.
PeopleAs a local tour operator from Italys North East, we aim to promote a slow way of travellng so our guests can discover all the hidden places in-between the main attractions of our territory.
We plan the itineraries so to avoid tourist traps. The bike is an excellent way to do it: we stick on bike paths and secondary roads, we reach small villages, countryside companies and farmhouses, which suffer (and love!) the fact of being located out of the mass tourist routes.
We sustain local family businesses (such as wineries, farms ). We can suggest you great places where to meet local people, eat in local restaurants and visit farms. Also, the hotels we choose are not part of big international hotel groups as we prefer locally run accommodations, true Italian hospitality.
On the road book you'll read good suggestions about less-known monuments, stories about local culture and traditional recipes. The roadbooks are not printed, they are only digital, in order to not to waste paper.
