The food served to our clients is, in-season, locally sourced and produced, unrefined, unprocessed and wherever possible organic, this means we can minimise packaging and support local growers and producers whilst ensuring our clients enjoy the very freshest local in season produce possible.

In this region of Spain everyone recycles their waste, both individual households and business, glass, metal, plastic, paper and organic and garden waste, we recycle at both the retreat & in our office, we use only bamboo compostable or recyclable items in our lunch packs, we ask guests to refrain from using single use plastic, for our outside adventures we stay on the local paths & trails recommended by the environment departments at our town halls.

All guests are informed and encouraged to be environmentally aware both inside and outside the retreat, inside by conserving power and water and outside by understanding why it is so important to stay on the designated tracks when hiking mountain biking, or horse riding, we limit our groups to a maximum of 12 people, not only does this ensure our clients receive individual attention but also less impact is made to the environment.

People

Our team members & the staff at our premises, our transfer company, drivers, housekeepers, Chefs and therapists all live locally, are part of the community & contribute to the country that we all call home, we use local guides for both our hiking, mountain biking adventures & horse riding, this not only offers employment to local people but also means that our clients benefit from genuine local knowledge that cannot be found in a guide book.

We use local suppliers and use goods and services from the local areas, this is particularly important during the autumn and winter months on the coastal areas as when the summer tourists have left the unemployment rates soar.

Our kitchen uses local & organic fresh produce from local farms wherever possible & fresh fish from the sea that surrounds us...our menus are seasonal & benefit from the diversity & quality of produce available from small local farms.

When we change out our retreat equipment for example our yoga blankets we gift them to local charities.
