We were lucky on day one to shoot the Northern Lights. We never saw them again. The Ice Beach was an amazing experience but the waterfalls and scenery generally was amazing. We were lucky enough to have received a large dumping of fresh snow which made the country spectacular. (more)Viv Gower

I do not feel that we reduced environmental impact or supported conservation at all. All the local people that we invited to take part in the photo shoots were offered payment although I do not feel that this was making any sustainable change.

I had no expectations other than to go with the flow and listen. Andrew and Vonettq have fulfilled and are fulfilling their dream in such a manner as to share wholeheartedly with those who drop in. I arrived full of flu, wrapped up to the nines. Some called me the eskimo, with two little eyes appearing through all the head layers.

One of my favourite days was going to the Ice cave, it was a pretty epic trek to get there, going in a massive truck with giant wheels, and then traversing across a glacier with crampons (which I couldn't get used to), and using a ice axe, made me feel like a proper adventurer! Memorable parts?
There were many memorable moments during the week the 7 of us spent there, but one in particular proved very exciting. We had a evening of Star Gazing with the guidance of a local astronomer, who brought along his high powered telescopes. Within moments of our "Gazing" we saw a "Shooting Star" - a meteor, shoot across the sky. For me though the highlight of the evening was looking through a powerful telescope at Saturn and her rings. Memorable indeed!

The spontaneity of events was the highlight. Although the route was planned and certain visits were structured, our tour leader and guide made things happen when they were least expected. Never a dull moment.

The most memorable moment was the warmth and hospitality of our hosts (and their great home cooked Finnish cuisine), to interacting with the dogs and harnessing them, to the experience of a wood fired sauna beside a frozen lake each evening, this short vacation could not have been better.
