Memorable parts?
Monitoring and tracking the wild dogs was a most memorable experience. We'd get up early in the morning and sit in the back of an open jeep and roar off to the last sighting. It was winter. It was cold. It didn't matter as it was a big adventure and the not knowing would we find them or not? Waiting and watching for the next time. Really great fun.
Tips?

Staying in Ratmate village and participating in house building was certainly memorable - whilst this was such a happy and welcoming community, it was both shocking and humbling to see first-hand the scale of earthquake damage in the region and the difficulties they face in re-establishing a good standard of accommodation there. Seeing the enthusiasm of the children and how welcome we felt at the schools. Feeling connected to the local community and other volunteers whilst staying in the comfortable volunteers house instead of a hotel. Also the delicious authentic Indian food cooked by a lovely local lady at the house.
