Day trip from Farnham

Alice Holt Forest & Go Ape

Take a train to Farnham. Take the number 18 bus, just near the station, to Alice Holt Forest, getting off at the Alice Holt bus stop. The forest is a fifteen minute walk from here and a great starting point to explore the start of the new 50 mile Shipwrights Way and look out for one of the stone sculptures which represent the history or wildlife of the place. Or try one of the many other forest trails. Have lunch at Café on the Green or pack a picnic and choose your own perfect picnic stop.

The more adventurous can pay a visit to Go Ape, the outdoor adventure park, which is in Alice Holt Forest and packed with zip wires and other tree top adventures. Take number 18 bus back to Farnham to catch train home. End the day back at the Alice Holt bus stop and hop on a bus back to Farnham.
