1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
A well balanced vacation with a great combination of sightseeing, hiking, elephant safari and beach time in a lovely country2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Don't stay at St Johns Bungalow (Knuckles). Its in a beautiful location, with excellent staff and a great history to the building but it lacks mains electricity and the building needs totally refurbishing. Be wary of the leaches in the area and take your own leach socks to reduce the chances of being got. Be aware that the standard of driving may not match what we are used to. The hike up Adams Peak to see the sunrise is hard work but the reward can be great. Try and get an understanding of what amount to tip. Be prepared to pay for the tour in US dollars, although getting a quote in £s!!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I felt we did benefit local people but was not aware that we reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Would thoroughly recommend Sri Lanka as a country with so much to offer and nice people. We chose our route and felt the balance of the vacation and the places we visited were excellent, with the exception of St Johns Bungalow. We were generally very pleased with the operator and their choice of accommodation and their level of support and communication.Liza Franke review 8 Jan 2020
