1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Lovely old medieval town, great local food and the villa is close to town but feels like it is in the country. Villa is well equipped with all necessities including milk & food for a light supper and breakfast when you first arrive.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Follow directions given closely as being an old hilltop town driving around it is hairy to say the least. And it is easy to get lost. But we had been given the correct directions just didn't read them thoroughly.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes; small local business recommending local services and the best in local restaurants off the main tourist routes. Pool uses salt rather than chemicals to purify, good recycling, and there is a reed bed.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Very enjoyable and relaxing. Host is very helpful.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The quality of the accommodation was extremely high - very well equiped with spa bath lovely furnishings, spotlessly clean. The welcome was warm and put us at complete ease for a really relaxing vacation.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Don't worry about a car. The walk into the city tkes 15 minutes and is beautiful. There are many busses and Perugia has excellent rail links. We would recommend that you be very respectful of the space and peace of the other guests when using the shared areas.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Everything is recycled. The swimming pool is salt water and not chemically cleaned. All waste water from the villa goes to a filtration tank where the roots of plants clean it. The villa employs mostly family and one local woman for cleaning. All maintnance is done by local contractors. Guests are encoraged to use electrical gadgets after 7pm to use off peak power.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Unbelievable - a small paradise. We are very impressed that the owner has managed to combine luxury accommodation with genuine eco living. The position close to Perugia is fantastic. The best of both country and city.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We have wonderful memories of relaxing at Villa Nuba, meeting new friends and exploring the beautiful countryside of Umbria. Fantastic part of the world.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Make sure you rent a car (with GPS) to see Umbria. You really don't need a car if you are only interested in Perugia, as Villa Nuba is so close to the city centre.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

There is a fantastic focus on regional foods and products which benefits the locality. The property's saltwater pool is a major attraction. We made sure to get all our gelato in cones so as to reduce paper cup waste! ; ))

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I am delighted to highly recommend Villa Nuba. It really was an amazing vacation. But be prepared....leaving it will break your heart!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We had a great 2 weeks at here staying in La Perugina Apartment. The large space was great for our family of 5 - 2 beds 2 baths and a large living area. The salt water pool is beautifully designed and maintained and was a real highlight of our stay. The location is great for central Perugia and Guiseppe is a lovely and welcoming host. I would highly recommend it if you are visiting Umbria.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

The Apartment stayed nice and cool despite the 36 degrees temp so we did not need to use the air con. The kitchen is quite small but was sufficient for our stay - we mostly ate on our lovely private terrace outside.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It's always lovely to be hosted by local people. Guiseppe makes a real effort with his guests, even to the extent of giving us a driving tour of Perugia, pointing out local places of interests and shops. He also provides the apartment with the Villa Nuba Gold Card with discounts to local favourite restaurants and shops. We found a couple of really excellent local restaurants due to his recommendations. He was also great at recommending attractions to visit with our small children.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent, We had a lovely time in Perugia and really recommend the apartments to families interested in getting to the heart of Perugia.
