1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The cycling was amazing, the hai van pass is a spectacular hillside climb of 6k up the 6bk down, the views amazing. The kayak experience in Halon Bay was fun and beautiful.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

When converting Dong to sterling drop the last 3 zeros and divide by 3. Take plenty of anti mosquito "stuff" we used Avon skin soft and deet. We didn’t get a single bite. Take lomitol we were fine but a few people did get upset stomachs.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. Tourism is certainly helping the economy. The tour company took us to local eatery establishments. Provided water to re fill our bottles, provided bags to stop use of plastic bags, provided local fruit, and collected any bike equipment we wanted to donate for local cycling group.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I loved this vacation. It was action packed, full on, I didn’t have time to read any book. I had a brilliant time.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Vietnam - halong bay and the food Cambodia - Angkor wat at sunrise

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Vietnam - alot of travel and different accommodation. Travel light and be wary of purchases. Cambodia Book with Laos or northern Thailand, not much to see over 10 day vacation. Would not suggest that Cambodia on its own. I think it was over priced so will not be recommending any body.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Benefited local people

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Vietnam - good vacation got a flavour of all Vietnam. Too much time was spent in hoi an City. Yet Never saw the beach. Would have been good to have a day on the beach. The Mekong boat trip in the mid day sun was close to torture. There was nothing interesting to see but feel the brute strength of the sun. Can recommend this vacation. Cambodia The vacation was ok. I think that it was over priced. I lost an entire day in the airport but was still able to see all the temples and had an afternoon spare. I elected to pay $15 to take a boat trip to see a floating village. This was a complete waste of time. It was exactly that a boat trip. Vacation consisted of 3 days in Siem Reap to see Angkor. Spectacular but seeing temples at sunset and sunrise is not a vacation event. There need to be some other activity added to make it interested. In Pnomh penh the brochure describes a full day of site seeing. We were finished by midday.! I opted to pay $15 to see a silk worm factory in the afternoon so that I could see more of Cambodia.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

So difficult to choose one thing. We did so many great things. Experiencing the New Year celebrations on the river side in Hoian was probably the most exciting and and enjoyable because of the colour, sounds and energy all rolled into one event.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Travel light. Laundry services are cheap and easy to use. Use insect repellent to stop nasty bites. Get up early to get to sights before the crowds build up.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We visited local people for several meals so I hope they received good recompense for their hospitality. We learnt about the country, and used a train for one transfer rather than coach or air travel. I think the tour guide could have told us more about the type of things we could buy which would benefit local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent. It was a busy schedule which made the most of our time in Vietnam. Not a vacation if you want time to relax! We experienced a very wide range of activities including pure pleasure with gorgeous boat trips to more sobering and informative trips to museums and war sites.
