1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
All of it!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Travel in twos. Keep your head down to avoid the hawkers. Show no interest in shops and stalls. Trust no one. Be kind and polite at all times. Always carry water in a re-usable bottle. Avoid air conditioning that fires high in vehicles and have it pointed at the floor if you can. Turn off the air conditioning in your room over night. Use your common sense with packing. I have now over packed on two occasions, in case. It was a waste of time and heavy to haul around from hotel to hotel. A simple wash bag, some clothes, some sandals, a sun hat, a coat and medication were all I needed. Remember, you can get up to go as soon as they announce your flight etc, but you will still have to wait for me!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I can't say. I tried to use my canteen filled with water from the hotel or boat. I still had to through a lot away at check points. If there had not been so many hawkers, I might have looked around more. In which case I might have spent more money.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
The guides and service personnel were all most helpful and polite. I covered so much in a short time and saw all that I wished to see. I found that there was just too much to eat with three meals a day, plus afternoon tea. As a solo traveler, a small group of three was better for me. The small cabin on board ship was a little restrictive though. I shall never take a hold all again! I bought a wheely suitcase in Cairo and put all of my stuff into that.Holiday Reviews
