1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The Sahara Desert camping.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

While rated 2 of 5 for physical demand, there are stairs in places and hill climbs into the Atlas mountains. I am 74, and physically fit, but still it takes a bit of lung juice!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Supporting local people with homestays and a few meals was good. Some use of public transportation (public bus, trains) likely reduced enviro impact.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Very very good. Excellent guides.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We had an excellent guide in Abdou. I really enjoyed going round the northern part of Morocco under his guidance. Chefchaouen is a place I've wanted to go to for a long time so it was incredible to finally see it for real. And Moulay Idriss was a total surprise.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Don't go to party - there are other countries for that. If you respect the locals and their culture you will get the most out of it. Also eat everything!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I hope so - we stayed at a family house in Moulay Idriss, used local guides and were encouraged to eat locally and spend money where we went.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent. A shame some of the group were so young and had different expectations to the older ones. But there isn't much you can do about that with group travel.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Camping in the desert was quite incredible. The stillness and quiet of the desert and the amazing amount of stars that filled the sky was truly spectacular.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Bring some good hiking boots for the trekking.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes - We stopped a various local cooperatives benefitting women or other local groups and most people bought something.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Morocco was excellent and I would definitely recommend that tour. Unfortunately, our guide was not very good - he sort of did his own thing on the tour and offered little information. We had to rely on local guides for any information.
