1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The care and attention Saurabh, the owner, showed to make sure we had the best trip possible. Knowing that staying in small private lodges staffed by local tribespeople provided a real connection to the community and tiger conservation.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

With the rupee a closed currency, cash has to be advanced in country and with a 10K limit (~$100), use a your debit card 2-3 times at each opportunity. Invest in some good binoculars and a camera - cell phones are not allowed in Banhavargh, Penchant, Khana or Satpura.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

YES - over 90% of employees came from tribal villages adjacent to the lodges. No single use plastic was allowed in the parks. Food was fresh and local - and - excellent. The fact that only 20% of the parks can be accessed by tourists and that there are limited entries rightly emphasizes wildlife over tourism.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Wildlife viewing is a gamble and tiger viewing requires tracking. The guides and drivers, and naturalists were all excellent and we were fortunate to have 10/10 tiger, leopard and sloth bear sightings. What can be controlled are: itinerary, accommodations, transportation, intensity and sight seeing - all easily met or exceeded our expectations; we booked a 3-week private trip.
