1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Seeing the golden eagle and griffon vultures soaring in the Picos.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Study a map of the Picos and the roads within them before you go. Getting around is unavoidably via the valleys and travel times can be a lot longer than you think. Also, be prepared to share meals -it’s quite normal there-and to go without vegetables. The portions are really big and they apparently don’t eat many vegetables!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Not particularly but I guess local people were employed at the hotels.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
We stayed in 3 wonderful rural hotels and 1 in the center of Llanes. All were great centers for exploring many different aspects of Galicia, the Asturias and Cantabria. Lovely vacation in a beautiful part of Spain.Andrew Snowden review 2 Jul 2024

It was a good mix of town, country with cultural aspects eg food! The Picos De Europa were perhaps the best phase of the vacation2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Take various guidebooks. Language needs a bit of patience and flexibility. Meals and coffees were sometimes more challenging than expected - but nearly everyone tried to help and seemed to appreciate our patchy Spanish....2 of the hotels charged rather a steep car parking fees - could this have been paid for (and discounted) in advance? The car hire company gave us an 'upgrade' because they could not supply the more compact car we had requested (we got a 7-seater SUV - not easy in the underground car parks for the hotels)3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Not in a big way - we were pleased with the hotels and bars that we used - so I suppose we were benefiting local people and smaller businesses.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
