The guides and learning enough Afar and Somali to communicate with the locals plus all the wildlife.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Bring a good camera, dress like the locals and learn their language.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, somewhat perhaps although we still used plastic bottles for water.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was an amazing experience. Huge contrast between Djbouti and Somaliland. Volcanic to sand. Somaliland was a wonderful surprise. Very religious but welcoming and friendly. They are so proud of their country and really deserve UN recognition.Holiday Reviews
