1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Overall, the itinerary was fantastic. There was a good mix of culture, history, art, food, and wildlife during the trip. However, the highlight for me was seeing orangutans in the wild.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Pack for hot and humid weather and avoid packing fabrics that take a long time to dry.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I believe everyone that we worked with was local so I believe that that would benefit local people. I also think visiting the parks and animal rehabilitation centers created local jobs in conservation that would promote the economical benefits of wildlife conservation.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent! When I read the itinerary I was excited about all the activities we would be doing and I was very satisfied at the end of the trip.mary naden review 2 Mar 2026

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Seeing the orangutans at Sepilok and boat trips on the Kinabatangan River seeing wildlife. The opportunity to see them in a natural setting, yet very close was memorable.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Dress for very hot and humid weather. Take an umbrella for the downpours - it is to hot for waterproofs. Take a refillable water container to top up at every opportunity. Good quality binoculars are useful when viewing wildlife.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Tourists are vital to support local people in restaurants, cafes and also at the animal sanctuaries.
