Visiting Chichen Itza was definately the top highlight!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Beware of long bus journeys. Roads are bumpy and a bus is a bus, even if they sell it to you as 1st class.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Definately benefited the local people, especially when we went to a Maya village to visit private Cenotes. Environmental impact is a tough one since all form of tourism as a negative impact to the environment. I didn't find hotels super eco-friendly. Sheets and towels we replaced daily, even when asked not to. All form of transport in Mexico is done via car/van/bus with pretty low quality diesel.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Do not forget the exchange rate when purchasing souvenirs at Chichen Itza consider total value in £s when bulk buying. Slow the process down and check their maths!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes we were very generous with our gratuity, ate in variety of small establishments, purchased ornaments/hangings/traditional clothing and and used local buses or walked (when not carrying luggage).4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The archeological sites visited-Mont Alban,Palenque and Chichén Itzá.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
The long distance buses are very comfortable but always COLD! Be wary if unsolicited cab drivers, also check your luggage after each bus trip!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Our organised tours benefited some communities but it is impossible to reduce environmental impact in Mexico with all the packaging and plastic bottled water.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It’s hard to choose just one! We had a fabulous time in all the places we visited. Palenque was just incredible.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
To relax and go with the flow! Take plenty of water on the bus journeys. Don’t feel intimidated by the hawkers, they leave you alone if you’re polite but stern.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, especially if you tip the lowest paid manual workers.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Day of the Day Parade in Mexico City & Cenotes trip & Palenque ruins.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
1. The bus journeys are way longer than expected. So be prepared or think about booking domestic flight, instead. 2. Don’t book your entrance tickets to Chichen Itza online because you pay double the amount you pay at the window. 3. The check in baggage fees at the airport is one and a half times more than if you CAN pay online in advance !! 4. Mexicans cannot speak even basic English so use google translate and learn a few useful Spanish words before you go. 5. Most of the eating places & hotels have wifi.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Since we bought stuffs from local people & used their services, kind of helped them. Also made sure to tip local people, when needed.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
