1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The late afternoon clear view of Mt Everest at Everest Base Camp was one of the highlights of this trip, though the stunning scenery along the road from Lhasa right through to Kathmandu has to be a close second.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
I'd recommend sitting back and enjoying the experience - everything is done for you. Bring small-denominational cash with you for China - no-one accepts credit cards and even 100RMB notes are too large for many places to accept for smaller purchases.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We ate at local restaurants throughout and I felt as if our vacation was of benefit to local people as much as possible - this was important to me and I was pleased to see it in action.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Our guide was caring and personally attentive to every person on the tour. We always knew what was going on and instructions were always clearly articulated. Our guide was also very knowledgeable. Attention to detail throughout was meticulous - what I assume at times were complex arrangements for permits and timeframes were dealt with efficiently. A thoroughly enjoyable partnership throughout. Communication with travel agent staff was also noteworthy - always prompt and efficient responses to our many pre-departure questions! Very much appreciated.MASSIMO AMATO review 10 Nov 2024
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The arrival at EBC.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
The local guide has always supported us in handling any difficulties. This has been important in handling the breathing problems with oxygen at 5200 mts.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Although most of the beneficiaries were mainland chinese, some Tibetan people got involved.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Overall positive. Area of improvement is the accommodation in big cities (Lhasa and Shigatse) where the hotels were not really up to the 4 stars paid, they were out of the tourist center and the heating was assured only in the room (breakfast and dinner had to be attended with heavy jackets).Holiday Reviews
