Pack light - as there are a lot of stairs and walking in these older areas you are visiting in Croatia

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We really enjoyed the moment we arrived at our next destination, the view from the ship was always something to behold as each arrival was so very different.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Bring sensible shoes. The walk from ship to ship once at port can be a bit daunting.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, in that the company used local guides and drivers. Not sure if all the huge number os ships that cruise around that area burning fuel does much for the environment.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent but a bit on the expensive side by the time you pay for drinks and tips.

Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad to see how much you enjoyed your vacation. A cruise on a small ship in general won't improve the environment, but it is usually better than a large vessel and various other forms of transport - Especially a flight. There are some benefits in that having more accommodation available negates the need for building hotels, which can be bad for the environment (Quarrying, transport, building etc). We do try to minimise the environmental impact of the cruises, for instance the vessels usually only motor for around 4 hours per day - Larger vessel are forced to cruise for much longer as they can't stop in the nearby small ports. I believe Responsible Tourism is more than just the environment though - To support the local communities and customs it is important that people do visit, and how they visit. The ship is locally owned and managed, the crew are all Croatian, and you will have spent a lot of time ashore eating in restaurants and cafes, and using local guides, and we consider that to be very important.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

All excellent so impossible to single out 1 part, given the variety of experiences and ports of call.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Don't expect luxury service (buy your own drinks), but crew and particularly tour manager, excellent .

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes because we ate in local restaurants.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent. BUT concerned that life jackets were under our heavy mattresses from where it would have been impossible for us to retrieve them in an emergency. The shower was much too low, my husband is 5 foot 9inches and had to bend to get under the rainshower head.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Visiting Korcula and Hvar Islands.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Be sure you really like to eat fish as there is a lot of fish served for lunch.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Not really.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

This was a great vacation if you’re a people person and the other passengers are friendly. We had a fabulous group mainly of Australians who were very well traveled and interesting so we enjoyed our time on board a lot. We had lots of occasions to swim from the boat and all the places we stopped at were fascinating.
