To some extent yes. I feel I made a small contribution.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The whole trip was memorable. Working with a great group of people, being involved in the conservation/research work, having the opportunity to take so many photos, see so much wildlife and learn more about the technical side of photography.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be ready for early mornings, bring the correct clothing for the time of year you travel. Bring enough cash or a credit card/travel card for snacks/grocery items you might like and weekend activities. Weekend trips to Kruger are a great thing to organise as well, you can do self drive into Kruger and stay overnight in the park if you want to. If you have any dietary requirements let them know in advance. I am vegan and I was well looked after every meal.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes I felt that the work being done there supports conservation efforts through research and physical work that was done. The data gathered by the research team helps to provide information for future conservation work and build up reference materials that can also be used in the future. Photography helping to ID animals and support the research team. The recycling efforts are commendable as well. The project is in a unique location and faces complex challenges which the team are working continuously to improve/change and I believe all the work of everyone involved is beneficial.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
It was a wonderful experience which I gained a lot from. Meeting new people who shared the same interests, spending time with the dedicated team and having the opportunity to learn and contribute in such a great location was really special. Being with a group of like minded people who were keen to learn photography and share ideas and experiences.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Removing invasive cacti and wire from defunct fencing helped the wildlife. Staying at the accommodation, using laundry and bar services helped keep local people in employment. Sharing photos on line Joelle to raise awareness.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Yes- The Mara conservation system benefits both the local people and the wildlife and this is funded by visitors4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
