Reviews for South West Coast Path hiking vacation, England
Wendy Barton review 2 Aug 2024
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Swimming at Porth Joke, the spectacular coastline and the friendly people we met.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Look up your accommodations - and if big old hotels request a quiet B&B -- even if it costs a little more. 18kms a day is a long way -- when it's up and down all day (worth having comfortable accommodation). Wear good footwear -- there's a lot of mud!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Definitely benefited local people- we bought all meals. Carried our rubbish with us and kept to the paths.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Very good. Tough but fun walking. A spectacular coastline. A great part of the whole walk. Would recommend - but maybe for most people in our age group the 12km a day itinerary. Some fabulous accommodations and some that need to be reviewed.Holiday Reviews
