1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Stromboli erupting at night was very exciting and taking a sulphur mud bath on a volcano was definitely a once in a lifetime event.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Pack light as there is not much room in the bedrooms. Days and nights can be very hot even with a sea breeze so dress appropriately. Learn some Italian to better understand the crew and to order dinner ashore. If you get seasick easily this trip is probably not for you as there is plenty of open water between the islands and even when moored there could be quite a swell. Also you need a decent sense of balance and some agility getting from the boat to the tender and back again when going ashore - you only dock on a pier at the very start and end of the trip.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, the boat was run by local people and evening meals are taken on the individual islands at local businesses.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
I loved it! I'd say the boat trip was 4.7 for the privilege of visiting 6 of the 7 Aeolian islands, good sailing, excellent food on board and on shore. The boat itself desperately needs a refit as some of the electrics were overheating, and the plumbing and shower cubicles need an overhaul but the crew were amazing and we were very well looked after.Steve Phillips review 28 May 2026

it was a lovely varied week calling at the small Aeolian islands which all had their own character and lovely restaurants. The most memorable was watching Stromboli erupt in the dark ,firing molten lava into the night sky !2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Remember you are on a boat so no dressing up. be informal and relaxed. You are on a boat too so its normal to experience some smells from time to time.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It definitely supports local jobs as we had the opportunity to spend on each island , both eating and drinking and also shopping. There are some lovely shops.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Fabulous and would definitely do it again around different islands .....only for a change not because we didn't like the Aeolian Islands!Holiday Reviews
