1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Tasting the very interesting wines - I was on a Wine Tour, an seeing how they were still made in the traditional way

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Be prepared to get some wonderful food and try great wines.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Not particularly apart from using a local tour company and guide. Obviously we visited mostly local wine producers who are still one and run by families but the bigger international investors are starting to make their mark.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

As we went specifically for a 'Wine Tour', I think we spent more time in Churches and Monasteries. Although a SIGNIFICANT part of Georgia's History, which I was more than happy to learn about (besides just wine making), there are a quite a lot and the Christian history is much the same for all of them ..........or maybe I missed something?!!? Another note is that the Hotel (Astoria) in Tblisis is quite a long way from the Old Town and any good restaurants. I understand that this keeps the price reasonable and luckily we are reasonably fit and are 'good walkers' so all the walking helped justify having (yet another) Khachapuri and glass of wine!!!
