1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Our local contact was Tiago. His support at the beginning of our self guided trip and throughout the trip was phenomenal. You could see how much he really loved the Azores. Then getting to meet the people there was also great. Great scenery.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
The thing that made us most unhappy, was that many other trips that we’ve been on have given us choices of upgrades where we stayed and unfortunately, this trip did not.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
There’s no question that this trip benefitted the local community4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
I would give it four stars because it was beautiful and we had great support. We have been on many responsible travel trips. And they usually give us a choice of what level we stay at. We now know that we won’t book any further trips unless we’re given choices that we can check out for ourselves.Katy Lee review 9 Sep 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Terceira is a lovely varied island. The cycle routes combined lots of different terrains. It’s quite hilly but there are some amazing down hill slopes to enjoy ! There are some excelllent places to swim too.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
We felt pretty prepared - we were given a GPS but I like to have a map to get the bigger picture. A pannier would be a good idea too as the bikes had racks. We didn’t have one with us and used rucksacks instead. On some routes you go quite away without any refreshment stops so snacks, water bottles are essential......most of the hotels had no kettle. I would definitely take a travel kettle next time for a cup of tea in hotel room !3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, locally employed people. Our guide Tiago was very informative of the island , places to eat, swim, visit and he really knew the routes too.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
It was excellent, highly recommended. Lovely rural scenery, quiet lanes for cycling.Holiday Reviews
