Reviews for Italy photography holiday in the Dolomites

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
If you like mountains, beautiful mountain scenery and photographing this is a trip to take. The Dolomite area caters to hikers, campers, bikers (motor and pedal) with a multitude of accommodations. There are many scenic spots right on the road and more trails to even more scenery.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
We went in mid June and it rained briefly nearly every day later in afternoon. The mountain tops still had snow and meadows were green with flowers. A traveler needs clothing for rain, warm and sunny and cooler temperatures. Light hiking shoes should suffice for on trail hiking. Most popular places have a "Refugio" for your refreshment. Hotels are accustomed to having hikers/bikers and welcome them.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We stayed in small family run hotels. Hiking was done on trails.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Dolomites' are a scenic pleasure that are easily accessible by air, car, train etc. It was a pleasure being back in beautiful mountains after living in a a flat area. The local roads are full of curves with lots of up and down and it will take much longer to travel then on motorways. One of our best vacations (we like mountains).Holiday Reviews
