Dear Giorgio,
We really appreciate you taking the time to write a review regarding your recent cruise with us. I would like to add a few details which you might find informative.
We employ the services of the local marina, shops, restaurants, guides and services such as launderette, engineers, electricians, shipwrights, cleaners, chandleries, crew when possible.
We also encourage our guests to visit locally important heritage sites, visit local gardens, craft shops and participate in cultural events and work with local wildlife rangers and tour guides.
We are proud to say we have been awarded The Green Tourism's Gold Award. We are committed to excellence in offering vacations to people who have a feel for the sea and its wildlife, both below and above the waves, as well as ashore. Our aim is to respect the sea and the local marine and shore-based environment. To leave everything as we find it is our motto, respecting the delicate eco-system balance of sky, sea and shore. To try and achieve this, we have taken many steps and our crews have been carefully trained. One of the steps we have taken is to offer a £50 Green voucher to all the guests who travel to join us using public transport. Alternatively, they can, if they wish, donate the £50 to the Marine Conservation Society (MCS), the charity working for 'seas full of life'. We are very sorry that you found the mattresses aboard the vessel uncomfortable. When the vessel was refurbished recently, they have been chosen very carefully with quality and comfort in mind. I guess that everyone likes a particular type of mattress. Some prefer a hard one and others something softer, more giving. However, I am pleased that it didn't take away too much from your enjoyment of the cruise.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The crew were so supportive and helpful. So wonderful to hear "Minke whale!" or "Dolphins!" Their enthusiasm and obviously had our welfare at heart.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Relax and go with the flow. Certainly don't overpack and be prepared to fit into a compact space3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We definitely had a positive impact on local communities. Not sure how we reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation. IF this was an important goal for the trip, then I think it would have been good to have the captain and/or other crew members lead a discussion about this after dinner or while we were motoring to another destination4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. I do not see an area for suggestions so I am going to put them here. I think actually having photos of the cabin would have been helpful to really prepare us for the compact space. I also think the having some links to how to plan walking excursions on the islands would have been helpful to prepare ahead of time. the books on board described the hike. But having descriptions that are outdated is not always accurate.Read the operator's response here:
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review for us and also for making some useful suggestions.
There are pictures on our website of all cabins available aboard our vessels. I am apologising as I should perhaps have attracted your attention to them. Our vessels are small cruise ships and are able to take our guests in secluded little bays which larger vessels could not visit.
Regarding our commitment to the marine environment and the places ashore we visit during our cruises:

Your suggestion of discussions with the crew in the evening or at a suitable time is interesting and innovative, maybe something to offer in the future. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your trip and hope to see you again soon.
