Double check the itinerary beforehand3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I think it supported the local guides/guesthouses but there was nothing directly related to helping the planet4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Overall it was great but a few issues. Brilliant driver/guide - very friendly, professional & knowledgeable, but he was often on the phone whilst driving & speeding. I’m sure that’s standard practice but we would’ve felt safer with better driving safety. There was confusion over the itinerary - We were given 3 different versions. The one we booked had 2 nights camping but that didn’t happen. The last day was totally different to what we booked. I wonder if this is because it was booked through onw local operator but really the operator in Georgia operated the tour. Urban park hotel in Tbilisi messed up a bit - double room instead of twin, said they’d change it the next day but didn’t. But overall it was great! And good valueHoliday Reviews
