1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
There were so many fantastic experiences. Ziplinning scuba diving , snorkelling. But the two day walking in the escambray Forrest was so incredible. The tour was perfect a mix of active with times for relaxation. Rainer was absolutely brilliant, so attentive and knowledgable. Our driver Alan was fabulous too. Thank you2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
I would say don’t hesitate and book. I was concerned that it would be too exacting. But it wasn’t and it gave a unique opportunity to see Cuba, rather than charging around and hopping on and off a coach. Just a couple of tips take a sleeping bag liner for the camping. They have a basic shower and the food was fabulous. Also keep walking when Cubans in Havana ask “where are you from” they want to sell you cigars that are of dubious quality or change money at a “good rate” which is very unlikely to be.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
There were opportunities to share small gifts with those people that looked after us. The gifts were those recommended by the tour operator. We tried not to eat in government led restaurants.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
It was the best vacation experience we ever hadAnonymous review 4 Feb 2020
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Trinidad, walking in Vinales seeing the coffee fields and the tobacco drying shed, cigar rolling, walking around Old Havana, walking in the mountains/ hills .2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Try and get some change for the loos. You can't use CUC once your through the departure lounge its dollars or euros. Dont expect a varied diet but it is healthy . Availability of items is not there due to sanctions. Bring what you need.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We did stay in local places and used local driver and obviously generally contributed to the economy. it did strike me that the tourist trade was serving the people involved in tourism and possibly not widely. I guess everything filters down as you need a supply chain and workers to support restaurants, hostels etc4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The trip to the Cienaga de Zapata reserve. We entered one cave and there were numerous fruit bats, plus crabs, and a tarantula! The whole area was great for spotting Cuba’s wildlife - we also saw a crocodile as well as turtles in the sinkhole.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Take everything you need with you, especially toiletries (including loo roll and hand sanitiser). Items are hard to come by in Cuba, and there are often long queues at shops. Don’t expect widespread WiFi.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Cuban people were very helpful and friendly, and many rely on tourism (and tips!) for their income. I felt spending money, and being generous was extremely beneficial to local people, who otherwise may have a hard time getting by.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
It was a great trip, both active and cultural. There were options to suit everyone. And it felt less packaged and rushed than tours offered by other companies. Despite seeing many different regions of Cuba, we rarely departed before 9am, and we were given the freedom to get to know each place properly.Holiday Reviews
