1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The hiking was great with lovely scenery and an abundance of interesting insects and some larger animals. The weather was superb throughout the week.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Definitely some level of navigation skills would be an advantage. Our group were lucky with good visibility but fog would pose some difficulty on some of the hikes. There is a significent amount of road walking on some of the hikes as well which is not a favorite of hikers.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I hope our presence benefitted the local economy and we were happy that most of the food was locally produced. As there very few facilities in the village we were surprised that the spa beside the hotel did not take advantage of all the potential business throughout the week.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Very happy for the most part. The hotel and staff were excellent as was the food. Marlene was really very helpful through all of the booking process and was very welcoming when we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble for her (Five stars).Elizabeth Clowes review 24 Mar 2026

Local hotel and taxis. Marlene lives just along from the hotel.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Everything was just perfect!! What an amazing place to visit - stunning views of the mountains in all directions and a quiet rural village to relax in but still have all that you need. The trip organiser Marlene could not have done more to help us and planned some fabulous hikes into the mountains which you could do from the hotel. Marlene checked in with us regularly to make sure we had all we needed and is just a lovely person to have got to know. The hotel was lovely and again the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and have the food we liked.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Enjoy every moment!! Keep well hydrated if you go in the summer months3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes - local hotel, extras for activities walking distance from the hotel. Locally sourced food4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
