1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The incredible scenery, and a tough but really exciting challenge in a part of the world that is so ancient and remote!

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

You definitely need to be quite fit (you're doing 7+hrs and up between 20-60km days of biking up and down, at over 3500m elevation, so it's hard going on the legs and lungs (my husband and I, both 33yrs old, actually did this trip immediately after trekking the Manaslu Circuit which was up at 5100m elevation and had 10hr/22km days of hiking for 14 days, and thought this biking trip was actually much harder!). Don't let that put you off though - just be prepared that it's not just an easy downhill truffle on a bike...it's a mix of ascents and descents on bumpy terrain so you need to be up for a real adventure, and ideally be comfortable on mountain bikes. It was 100% worth every second of it though!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes definitely, you are staying in little guesthouses and you see the money going directly to the local guides and shop owners etc. This is also a Nepalese company owned by a wonderful chap called Ajay - we found them to be a fantastic company who really take care of all their employees and clients.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

10/10. It was an unforgettable trip, and we really loved being able to see this amazing part of the world by bike. We had a little issue while on the trip, but Ajay and his colleague Lesia were on hand immediately to get it resolved, and we ended up developing a great relationship with Ajay at the end of the trip! Upper Mustang was such an amazing, special and off-the-beaten-track destination to visit that I would wholeheartedly recommend this trip, and of course Responsible Travel who my husband and I now book all our adventures through!
