1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

My own trips I did during the free times.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Don’t book it if you don’t want to have lots of drama and chaos on your vacation

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Not much to be honest. We did travel by public transport, but that was it. I would have done the same also without the tour program.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was a huge failure and I regret that I booked it. What I expected (a small and young group) was not what we got (approx. 20 people with the oldest over 60 and having health problems). I wanted a fun and outdoorsy experience with lots of hikes and biking but we only had one small hike and the one bike tour I had to lead the group myself in the end. There were so many troubles and disturbances. If I didn’t had paid so much money for the tour, I would have ended my participation already during the trip. But because of a lack of availability of accommodation and train tickets I finished the tour with the program. Never again!

Hi Esther - thank you for taking time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your trip didn't meet your expectations and that you encountered some challenges during the tour. It was our guide's first trip alone after completing training and joining his training trip. We added a second training guide to this group who is actually an experienced guide but had never guided our tour before. So, she was more like a support guide who we believe added value to the group's experience. However, we agree that this group didn’t go as smooth as we wanted due to the guide being new. We understand that traveling with a diverse group of individuals can sometimes lead to unexpected challenges. We'll take your feedback into consideration as we continue to improve our tour offerings, ensuring that they better align with the expectations of our guests. The group size was 15 plus 2 guides, not 20. The maximum age is 55, and there was only 1 over this age. Regarding the impact on local communities and the environment, we're committed to responsible tourism practices, and we'll continue to explore ways to further support conservation efforts and benefit local people. We use public transport throughout the tour, stay at locally run places and encourage our travelers to take part in local activities and to immerse themselves in the culture.
