1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp, 12 days of steps and paths up and down but fabulous scenery and weather and enjoyed the tea houses- basic but fun.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
It was warmer than we expected- travelled early October so pack light. Be flexible as travel in Nepal often slow due to roads or weather events.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Staying in tea house’s definitely supported the local people but I don’t think it reduced environmental impact, although we did avoid bottled water and used our own water bottle. We also picked up some litter on trek to teach our guide to do the same. We did not like the elephant breeding center at Chitwan NP, it is a disgrace - avoid ( see Tripadvisor reviews)4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Fabulous, more adventure travel than vacation. The operator was great. Achut was in direct contact with us, reliable, everything was on time, hotels he booked were really good.Read the operator's response here:

Comment on the clarity of some guides if you are finding difficulty understanding--in Katmandu.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I hope so!4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The two most memorable activities were attending the Black Crane Festival and a farmstay for two nights whilst attending the festival.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Very much so as Bhutan's philosophy is for $65 for each day to go the Government for spending on the needs of the country.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Bhutan was beautiful and Tibet was very intriguing. I especially enjoyed watching families worshipping in temples during festival.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Don't expect a scripted hour by hour experience. Just relax when you're not sure what's coming next; chances are very good it will be memorable.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Definitely felt benefit in each country of tourism.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Seeing the Potala Palace in Tibet and completing the hike to the Tiger's Nest Monastery in Bhutan have been on my list of places to see and do for many years. I thoroughly enjoyed both.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be certain about the Visa information you receive. I was informed that my visa for Tibet could also be used for a stop in China on my return trip. That proved not to be the case and I had to apply for and purchase a second Visa for China. I ended up paying over $400 for the 2 visa's through the company the tour company contracts with. I have since learned that had I made my own Visa arrangement it would have cost $140 for US citizens to obtain a visa for China. I do not know if I could have used that same visa for Tibet, however.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I appreciated how well organized the tour operator were. Someone was always there at the airport(s) for pick up and got us back on time for departures. I was impressed with the way Achut and his team handled all of the trip details.
