Hi Joanna,
We’re really glad to read that you enjoyed your trip to Eritrea and that you were able to witness a special local church service.
Regarding services, Eritrea does not receive large numbers of tourists and this is sometimes reflected in the quality of infrastructure and services provided here. Whilst we always do our best to smooth out any rough edges, the level of services in Eritrea can’t be compared to those in some of the more well-frequented parts of the region and wider continent. It will likely be quite some years before services here can be described as 'polished’, but we hope that the experiences you had in Eritrea outweighed any minor bumps in the road that can come with traveling to a destination like this.
We appreciate that visa applications can sometimes be a bit fiddly and frustrating, and we are pleased we could step in and assist you in obtaining a visa on arrival into Eritrea, when you weren’t able to obtain one prior to travel.
