This was a wonderful trip. In addition to exploring the old town centers, visiting many churches and castles, we also learned so much about the history of occupation for the Baltic countries. Their independence is in its early stages.Vicki McEwan review 1 Jun 2026

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are three of the most beautiful countries I’ve seen and experienced. Physically beautiful but also the friendliness of the people and their strength and resilience from their difficult histories. In all three countries they care for the different buildings, the churches and the castles and obviously have an enduring pride in their countries. Our guide Dziugas was extremely knowledgeable and personable with a delightful sense of humour.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
It is a lot to take in, in 15 days and I would suggest booking in a couple of days extra at each end. Cobblestone streets and footpaths take a toll on feet and legs and sometimes walking poles can help if needed. I would enjoy visiting these countries again at a much slower pace.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I noticed that in all three countries they were mindful of their impacts on their environments and so I tried to follow suit. Our guide always endeavoured to support local businesses, such as restaurants.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
I am very pleased I got to visit this part of the world and was impressed with the guide. Some of the accommodation could be improved and the bus was very small and quite cramped but the overall organisation including that of the guide was good.Susan Lewis review 24 Jun 2025

Not really. Hotels were upmarket. There was some benefit in eating in local restaurants.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
A lovely vacation. The schedule was hectic but with enough time built in for relaxing or independent exploration.Holiday Reviews
