Reviews for Provence to Camargue cycling vacation in France
Steve Clark review 24 Aug 2023
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Every day was different - scenery, route, hills, types of roads, villages we passed through and the hotels we discovered and stayed in at the end of each day. So it was the unexpected and the adventure of the trip that was most exciting.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
pack barrier cream, set off early if its going to be a hot day and on those days wait to eat your lunch until you are close to the finish. Its not a ride to rush so take the time to see the amazing Provencal villages.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We stayed in small non-chain hotels, ate at local restaurants and travelled by bike. We employed a local taxi driver who took bags (for lots of people) from hotel to hotel. As it was August, everywhere was busy and it did feel great to arrive places by bike rather than joining queues of cars.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Really great! The route, the maps, information and support were all brilliant. When we had a slight issue, the tour operator was immediately responsive and helpful. The only improvement would be for baggage to be delivered a bit earlier.Read the operator's response here:
