Yes- we were able to support local businesses at the destinations we went to. It’s such a beautiful coastline and our skipper Panos was sensitive to the environment and nature.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

We loved the whole vacation- we able to see beautiful scenery and our skipper was very knowledgable about the area, weather and best places to visit. We especially loved mooring overnight in a quieter beach and having great food in a restaurant there. Our teenagers loved the swimming, paddle boarding and snorkelling. The places we visited all had amazing food also.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Do not take suitcases- take bags and you don’t need lots of clothes- just swimwear and a few shorts and less casual outfits for the evening. Power banks are also helpful as there are limited plugsockets onboard.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes our skipper was local and gave us great recommendations for places to eat which will have benefitted the community. We were advised to bring environmentally friendly bathing products and sun cream.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Wishing to find a family vacation for ourselves and our grown-up children and their partners we hit on this amazing sailing trip in a skippered yacht in the South Ionian sea. The highlights for us were spending time with the family, being so well-looked after by Panos our skipper, swimming, mooring in idyllic Greek harbours, and eating in wonderful family tavernas. Every location was a highlight and the whole experience was incredibly chilled and relaxing. There was excellent swimming every day with snorkeling equipment on board and two of our party were able to overcome their nervousness in water during the week. So don't be put off if you are a reluctant swimmer, you will love it!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Pack light but remember a hat and plenty of sunscreen. Discuss with the skipper what you would like to do and see. There is a suggested itinerary but it is very fluid and weather-dependent. So go with the flow and enjoy whatever and wherever you go. When in harbour be guided by your skipper, but also try and explore beyond the seafront. In Kalamos we walked to a fabulously wild beach with an amazing family beach tavern/shack (Cavos) which was so peaceful.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes definitely. The two boats are owned by local enthusiasts whose passion is obvious. In harbour we shopped locally and used local tavernas every day. However, beware if in Sivota where we moored on a private dock but then felt obliged to use an overpriced and quite unpleasant restaurant. If there, we suggest offering to pay for alternative mooring and choose your own eatery! There is the inevitable boating curse of plastic water bottles for drinking water but these were recycled. In every other way the ethos of the company is to leave as light a footprint as possible, particularly with regard to anchoring etc.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Incredible adventure for the family. This trip appeals to all generations and everyone had the most amazing time. Panos, our skipper, was outstanding; he was kind and always considerate, patient as we learned to sail a little and calm when we made mistakes, and made some wonderful brunches for us while we swam. The best snorkeling at Fiskardo and easy walk to see basilica etc. but also when we got the sails up and joined in sailing.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Yes we used local tavernas and shops, trip was as environmentally conscious as it could be and we made sure to pull a few bits of litter out of the sea. Our boat had 'home made' liquid soap/shampoo that was reef safe and good for showers on the back of the boat after swimming.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
This vacation was memorable from start to finish, for so many reasons, made possible by a fantastic skipper (who we honestly can’t thank enough). The scenery was just breathtaking, the islands we visited were so lovely - varied in many ways. We swam in crystal clear seas, surrounded by fish and ate delicious Greek food in the evening. The children relaxed on the boat, even did a bit of steering and loved the swimming stops as well as the odd bit of archaeology and history, learning about The Odyssey. The children learnt to dive off the boat and both said the incredible food was one of the most memorable parts of their vacation.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
You won’t regret it! Our boys (aged 8 and 11) got so much from the week, as well as their grandma whose needs were also well catered for. This is a perfect vacation for all generations. Best to be able to swim. Pack light, we lived in swimming costumes and the boat is extremely well-equipped with snorkels, masks, fins, water toys, paddle-board, even water-proof phone cases. The skipper as incredible - he tailored the stops and the overall trip around us, was so kind and friendly and made everyone feel at home on the boat.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. It’s a small local company with a huge amount of local and cultural knowledge. Our skipper was very careful about recycling everything possible and no waste. There was ocean-friendly soap and shampoo on board to use, as well as washing up liquid. It was evident this is a company that cares deeply for and is hugely appreciative of the environment.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

This vacation was fantastic. It has surpassed all our expectations. Everything went according to plan. The skipper was by all means helpful, kind, patient and doing everything that was possible for making our stay more enjoyable. He knew all the coves, bays, winds in the region, etc. , and arranged the plans of each day accordingly. We enjoyed swimming in a lot of beautiful and quiet places, and the sailing experience, when the wind was propicious, was great: the skipper did not need any help, we only had to enjoy it! There were many incredible moments on the vacation, starting with the journey on the boat sailing between the Ionian islands and the many beautiful and scenic swim spots, which our skipper found for us every day. The clarity and beauty of the water was just unbelievable, and it was all down to the local knowledge that he and the business has built up over many years.. We loved it so much!2. So many - sailing fast along the ocean - seeing my son help the skipper with the sails and ropes - diving into azure blue waters - snorkelling with beautiful fish...dolphins on the last day! Plenty of suncream on board - we ran out (can always get more at the shop) communicate with your skipper - make sure you let him know what you want from the trip - bring clothes that cover you from the sun when youve had too much of the rays...3. Go with the flow, enjoy relaxing and following the recommendations of the skipper! Panos and his team are amazing, have local knowledge and interact brilliantly with young children and teens.3. We only ate in local restaurants and spent money in local shops. You could see all the bigger companies following strict schedules and time scales! Going with a local sailing business meant we had a much more flexibility and could change our schedule on a whim. We were able to recycle everything, and buy local. Our skipper has also known everyone in the route for years - meaning we had amazing treatment in all the tavernas.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Where to start?! I was expecting the beautiful beaches and charming villages, however stopping the boat in the middle of the ocean and swimming in 120m deep dark sapphire water was truly special. I wasn’t expecting such great food in the villages, our skipper Spyros gave us good recommendations. This was a pleasant surprise!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
We lived in our swimmers, so I could have packed less clothes. Sleeping out on deck at night was great. And getting ‘packeto’ takeaway from the restaurants we ate dinner at to supplement our lunches upped the gourmet experience! My final tip would be to relax and go with the flow, trust your skipper and soak in the experience.3. The operator is a small business owned by 2 Ionian locals, Panos and Elias were very friendly. Panos answered all my emails and gave me local recommendations for before and after the sailing trip over the months leading up it. Our skipper Spyros was a local who grew up sailing the Ionian islands, and knew all the secret spots with less people!4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It was magical to wake up each morning to find the kids jumping straight into the warm sea before breakfast. We saw so many fish and other life in the sea including an octopus when snorkelling. Eating fish that Elias caught when him and my husband went spearfishing was a particular highlight.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Travel light and listen to your skippers recommendations. Our skipper Dimitris led us to some excellent places to swim and snorkel as well as providing some wonderful recommendations for restaurants.3. 10/10 Honestly it was genuinely the best family vacation we have ever had. We have never been sailing before and so wasn't sure what to expect. Panos patiently answered all my questions and gave us support before, during and after the trip. Our skipper Dimitris was lovely and really great with the kids. Visiting numerous beautiful small bays for swimming. Great with the yacht in full sail. Elias was a great host, offering advice and booking restaurants for us in the busier villages. Family of 5 fitted on Phoebe boat nicely with plenty of space.Pack light. Say what you like to the skipper (we had Elias) and they are happy to guide/facilitate. Definitely. Our skipper was keen to recommend tavernas which are run by local families and encouraged us to recycle our waste and use environmentally friendly products on board.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent. We were a family of 3 with a 12 year old. Our skipper very good at including him in tasks on the boat but also recognising when he needed time and space to himself. Living in close confines with strangers for a week can be difficult but our skipper was very aware of making sure our vacation was exactly what we wanted. We loved exploring bays - especially the quiet ones with no one else around! It was also fascinating to see some of the towns en route and the beautiful buildings of the area. My favorite bay was Koutsoupia on the island of Kefalonia.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Bring some clothes pegs to clip your towel to the side of the boat to dry! If you bring individual metal bottle holders for your water it will stay cooler for longer and if they have different designs you will know who's is who's.3. Yes, we spent money in local restaurants, bars and cafes, in bakeries and shops. We used local taxi services and stayed in accommodation in Lefkada too. We tried to conserve water on the boat with short showers and only used the air conditioning unit when necessary.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent! We all had a wonderful time... The route was well planned to take in as much as possible in the time we had. The boat was well equipped with plenty of space in the cabins and communal areas.
