I really enjoyed the day we spent in the desert. It was magical.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
I would tell them to take it a little slower. The pace was very fast.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I am not sure. I would have liked to understand better what the “responsible” part of the trip entailed.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
This is a very difficult question to answer in such short space. It was too much driving. The guide was really good and everything ran smoothly. Maybe it is too much to pack in 9 days.John O Donovan review 29 Feb 2024

Tourist dollars certainly benefit the local economy, can’t see how we reduced environmental impact or supported conservation.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
We really enjoyed the experience overall , but we do have some observations.I think most people who take these tours are well traveled and well informed and expect the experience to be as authentic as possible. The hotels in Casablanca and Fez were grim , Fez in particular, why didn’t we get to stay in the medina? and we were fed up of being taken to tourist trap overpriced restaurants with poor food and expensive water.we were brought to the same restaurant, twice in the one day in Casablanca. Also eating at the hotel buffet on the first night and in the awful Tajine Darma on the last, where the waiter was barely civil and we didn’t even all get to sit together, a bit of a low point. We think the organisers need to look at the tour with fresh eyes and sharpen up the edges a bit. If I was a teacher I would probably say, must try harder. By contrast we have spent the last 4 days here in Marrakesh ourselves and have had the most wonderful food experiences. John and Margaret O’DonovanRead the operator's response here:
Thank you for your comments John. Any type of feedback is appreciated as it helps us to improve moving forward. For all our bookings received, we contribute money to local Associations in Morocco. Hopefully the guide would have explained where this money has gone to and how it helped local families. We also provide a discount and link to purchase refillable filtered water bottles so we can reduce plastic on our tours. I have been in touch with your guide about using two restaurants in once town as ideally we would like to offer a bit more variety. The guide wanted to use a restaurant he trusted.
Other than the location of the hotel in Fes, we have not received poor feedback but we are looking in to a hotel closer that does not impact the cost if the tour too much. Regarding the open terrace restaurant in Marrakech for the last evening, it can be quite difficult to get availability with sunset views for large groups but this restaurant does generally get good reviews online. Apologies that you did not all get to sit together. We are happy that overall you enjoyed the experience and will certainly look in to some issues raised.

I have stayed on in Marrakech so I'm still enjoying it. I did enjoy the camel riding in the Sahara.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Stay a few days before or after touring to speak up Little more of the culture. Check if you really do need a 2 season sleeping bag and a towel for the Sahara trip. Everything we needed in late April 2023 was provided and it was warm not cold.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The sleeping bag in April is optional but more for early April. Weather can be changeable.
