So many highlights, its hard to pick just one..! Kayaking on the glassy waters of the beautiful Douro River, surrounded by gorgeous vineyards in either side. Pure Bliss …2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Very much so. We stayed in small rural villages along the river, ate in local restaurants etc. This brings revenue into local communities4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The river was beautiful as expected. Our guides Sergio and Marcos and driver Miguel took such good care of us. Every detail was seen to, and my fondest memories will be of their care and kindness.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Yes. We stayed in small, locally-owned inns that were very nice. Our lunches and water were packed in reusable containers.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The views from the vineyards and forested areas from the river were fantastic. The kayaking was really nice. We especially loved the hike through the vineyards and walking around smaller villages in the late afternoons. The guides and our driver were very friendly and helpful. We really felt they were our friends just a few days into the trip.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Yes. We used local resources (restaurants, hotels, small shops, and taxi drivers). We used public transportation for much of the trip.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
