Do research about Scotland and its history: even if these trips are mostly about hiking, it would make more sense to ask guides about social and historical aspects of Scotland3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Doubt this. However, as long as my payment went to Scotland to support certain social issues (health, education, etc): that would be good. Please give me a feedback about this4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Hike up hills before you take this trip.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Definitely benefited local people, as we stayed in the same bed and breakfast the entire week and ate elsewhere in small locally-owned establishments. We also made a few purchases in locally-owned shops in Lerwick, and took a boat ride from a local guy to Noss. I took the Northlink ferry to/from Lerwick versus flying.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
