Saruni Eagle View was not quite the place their marketing suggests. We had a good time there and and the staff were great but it was well overbooked when we were there - by 15% the hotel said - and so it was pretty busy all the time. They clearly cater for very large family groups. One of 17 and one of 14 and so the noise levels and general atmosphere certainly suffered as a result. We wouldn't want to stay there again.3. Seeing so much wildlife at close quarters.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Try and stay 3 or 4 nights at a lodge/hotel - gives you time to settle and get to know a place and the staff for a while rather than being constantly on the move.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We were given insulated water bottles on arrival (we also had our own) which was a nice touch. All lodges/hotel employed local Masai as security. We visited a local beach restaurant in Zanzibar rather than eating at the hotel one evening - only people there but had a delicious meal and a great experience.4.
