1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Visiting the western end of the Great Wall in Jiayuguan and the brilliant day in the Mangyshlak Peninsular. The train journey across Kazakhstan was also fabulous.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Take clothing for very hot weather and keep the sun off your body with long sleeves and wide-brimmed hats. Take a good book/crossword book or similar for the journey across Kazakhstan or just watch the world go by there.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
There was a definite benefit to local people as all drivers, guides and organisers were local. I'm not so such about reducing the environmental impact. China's trains are very modern, electric trains. It's different in Kazakhstan. Also, there has to be a better way of drinking water. Drinking bottled water cannot be good for the environment, although I did it throughout.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
