1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
We loved our tour from canoeing, searching for moose and looking for wolf tracks but the highlight was definitely the beaver boat tour. We were really lucky to find a family of beavers in action.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Book it, its a great variety of fun activities plus our guide Adrian looked after us really well! Top tip - when cannoeing we visited the other accomadation they usually use Udden retreat. The guy that runs it was really welcoming and the lodge sits on a beautiful lake I think we would have been much better suited there. Nothing major wrong with Farnas, infact I have to say the food was delicious and you have the added bonus of a spa. However, there was no atmosphere and it all felt a bit snooty. The rooms are adequate but the tea and coffee station were not cleaned or manned for the 4 night duration of our stay. There are nice walks and the grounds are pretty but we didnt feel as comfortable to sit outside and relax and the view is not a patch on Udden. We were also told we were not allowed to take a bottle of wine to our room but felt awkward in the bar area as it wasnt very inviting. All in all Farnas has an old people's home sort of vibe and although we only spent a short time at Udden I feel we would have had a better experience there. So if you have the choice go for Udden3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, the tour operator not only look after the locals but you can tell they want to protect the environment and prevent any negative impact to the species being observed4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
We had a wonderful time, the tour was well organised Adrian was fun and knowledgeable and cooked up some really tasty meals while we were out in the wilderness.Holiday Reviews
