1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
It's impossible to choose just one memorable part of my Tanzania tour, as it felt like every day was packed with them! Josh's expertise and passion enabled me to see and experience more than I had ever imagined. We saw all the big cats, more elephants, giraffe and birds than I could count, even a rhino. He is so skilled, he knew just when and where to find wildlife, avoiding the crowds, making the trip tranquil and ensuring I got the most out of every minute. The mass wildebeest crossing of the Mara river was particularly dramatic and moving and it was only thanks to his patience and intuition that I was able to witness such a huge herd migrating across that pivotal location!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
If you want to really experience Tanzania's unique wildlife, ecosystem and culture, do not waste your money and time with any other guide/team. Josh has over 25 years of experience and it shows in every detail. From planning the itinerary and accommodations to responding to questions about every animal, plant, bird, geographic feature and cultural dynamic, they are giving you the best recommendations and will not disappoint. They are also excellent with communication, sharing everything you need to know proactively, and offering quick responses to any questions or needs that arise.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, absolutely. Josh has a keen eye towards conservation and was always on the lookout for ways to respect and help the wildlife and local communities. For example, he explained and adhered to the distance requirements for wildlife viewing, avoided overcrowded areas, pointed out endangered species, included Black Rhino conservation research site for deeper learning, saved a leopard tortoise crossing the road and, collaborated with local Maasai leaders to ensure mutually beneficial interactions. (Also Maasai himself, Josh brings innate appreciation for cultural respect and relationship with the land and environment.)4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
If I could give this trip 10 stars, I would! Josh and his team exceeded all my expectations. I feel my heart remains in Tanzania, all thanks to them!Holiday Reviews
