The Balcony Walk on Jebel Shams and the Empty Quarter.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Crowne Plaza in Muscat was very large with poor storage space. Consider a smaller boutique hotel, if they exist.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Very much so. The exception to that would be the Damaniyat Islands where the snorkelling was good, but probably too many boats and tourists4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Very good. A good variety of culture and activities. I believe that Oman will be expanding tourism in the next two decades as their oil wealth diminishes, which will likely lead to increased numbers and a detrimental effect. That said, the Omanis are charming people, which makes the country a wonderful destination.Holiday Reviews
